En Monte Vera se realizó en la tarde del 18 de enero, un acto frente a la Comisaria, en homenaje al Cabo Carlos Gabino Nieva, numerario de esa dependencia, el que muriera el 15 de enero de 1972 en un enfrentamiento contra delincuentes terroristas montoneros.
El acto, organizado por la Asociacion de familiares y amigos de las víctimas del terrorismo (AfaVitA) y la Comisión de homenaje a policías y ciudadanos muertos por la delincuencia, contó con la presencia del presidente de la comuna de Monte Vera, señor Luis Alberto Pallero, quien hizo uso de la palabra y se refirió a la personalidad del Cabo Carlos Gabino Nieva. Seguidamente habló el señor Orlando Agustín Gauna y finalmente el Comisario retirado Víctor Faloni. Se entregaron presentes recordatorios a familiares del asesinado.
