La nueva encuesta mostró que el índice de aprobación general de Biden también se redujo al 49 por ciento, desde el 58 por ciento en abril. Además, el índice de desaprobación del presidente saltó al 48 por ciento, un aumento de 9 puntos desde el 39 por ciento en la primavera.
La administración Trump firmó el acuerdo de paz de Afganistán con los talibanes en febrero de 2020. Según ese acuerdo, Estados Unidos planeaba retirar todas sus tropas para el 1 de mayo de este año.
Después de asumir el cargo, Biden decidió extender el plazo hasta el 11 de septiembre y luego lo adelantó hasta el 31 de agosto. Pero los talibanes recuperaron el control casi total del país dos semanas antes de la fecha límite de retirada de Biden.
La rápida toma del poder por los talibanes tomó a Estados Unidos con la guardia baja. Según los informes, los analistas militares y de inteligencia habían creído que era posible que el gobierno afgano respaldado por Estados Unidos cayera en un mes a 90 días. 20 years of young American men and women dying for freedom and to uphold the constitution just to pull out, waisting their efforts and lives. Not to mention the betrayal of Afghani people and soldiers who trusted us. Sounds like Vietnam allover again.
We have spent 20 years in Afghanistan and lost Trillions of taxpayers money and lost thousands of good people. How many more Americans lives we want to lose in Afghanistan. We can’t change people and there thinking. We should had pulled out our troops after achieving our targets. We can keep on fighting this war for next 100 more years but results will not be different. We should spend our taxpayers money on our own people instead of giving Trillions to companies who wage wars for their benefit.
