Robert ‘Bobby’ Crimo III, de 22 años, fue arrestado bajo sospechas de ser el responsable del tiroteo que tuvo lugar este lunes durante un desfile por el Día de la Independencia de EE.UU. en Highland Park (Illinois), que dejó al menos seis muertos y 24 heridos.
Una orden de busca y captura emitida por el FBI describía a Crimo como alguien “armado y peligroso” y hacía mención de los tatuajes que tiene en la cara y el cuello.
De acuerdo con reportes de medios locales, el padre del sospechoso se postuló para alcalde de Highland Park en 2019, pero no consiguió ser elegido para el puesto.
El joven figura también en la página de cine IMDB, que lo identifica como un “rapero, cantante, compositor, actor y director” del área de Chicago, con una riqueza estimada de 100.000 dólares. Su canción ‘On My Mind’, lanzada en 2018, habría acumulado “millones de reproducciones hasta ahora en plataformas de transmisión en línea”.
En su cuenta de YouTube, que ha sido eliminada, Crimo había publicado un video que incluía un dibujo de una persona que parecía haber sido muerto a tiros por la Policía.
Además, Crimo lanzó en octubre de 2021 un video musical titulado ‘Are You Awake’, que incluía dibujos de un hombre apuntando con un rifle a una persona y otro de una víctima tiroteada con sangre brotando de su cuerpo.
El clip también mostraba una imagen de un recorte de periódico sobre Lee Harvey Oswald, el francotirador que asesinó al presidente John F. Kennedy.
“Como un sonámbulo, soy incapaz de parar y pensar”, dice la letra de la canción. “Mis acciones serán valientes y mi pensamiento innecesario. Necesito irme ahora, solo necesito hacerlo. Es mi destino, todo me ha llevado a esto. Nada puede detenerme, ni siquiera yo mismo. ¿Existe el libre albedrío, o esto ha sido planeado, como una receta cósmica?”

Such a tragedy. My prayers go out to all those who have lost someone there or had to witness that. As a veteran, I wish they did not have such strict gun laws there. Good people such as myself could have stopped or limited the damage, as I did so many times in the military. As long as these places restrict good people from their rights though, these tragedies will continue to happen.

No answers from the ‘authorities’ will be forthcoming on these and many other issues just as Peyton Gendron’s access to weapons after NY safe law should have prohibited will also not be asked nor answered by this government.
When he threatened family members why wasn’t the police called and they could have taken him to lock up or to the juvenile home where he gets extra help, counseling etc. that’s what happens here. My aunt voluntarily put my cousin in the juvenile home when he started acting out in either 9th or 10th grade, and he’s 30 now, married to a very nice young lady, he’s driven, loves to help others and now he works in Real Estate. Stop failing these kids, so they can be decent. People often thought my kids would be bad, just nothing, because I was an only child. They didn’t think that I actually wanted my twins, loved them and wanted them to succeed in life. Now they are both 20, work, and take college classes. I saw traits in my daughter from a young age 7 and got her counseling. She turned out way different from what I expected. She’s actually more responsible and more of a go getter than her twin brother. I have always worked full time or more than one job, but I still paid attention to my kids and noticed her issues. I got her help way back then before she even hit 10 years old now I have no worries with her. My son is the same as back then humble, quiet always laughing, and he plays those bad video games. That’s why I don don’t like that stereotype about video games. My son doesn’t even raise his voice. A video game doesn’t dictate if you’re going to get a rifle, gun or whatever anything can be turned into a weapon and k*ll innocent for no reason.
It’s so hard to get kids help I have a step son I had to make my wife choose cause he has threatened both us harm himself and even smashed stuff in the house lies constantly and steals but once someone else is there to try and get him help he flips like a switch and makes it like we are the ones doing everything and the cops even told me once even if he stalled one of us he would have to go to a hospital to be evaluated to see if they feel he needs to go to a mental hospital or a juvenile detention center slot of it is the system that is letting stuff go
What family in their right state of minds would allow a person to bring guns into the house after that person threatened their lives previously with knives? I do not think the family knew he purchased them.. Also want to point out some people who are totally insane have the ability to hide it.
So yesterday his uncle was saying on the news he never had an issue with him but today we learn he threaten to kill family members. You don’t think he didn’t hear about that living in the same house. Cmon man.
My first job after college was in the criminal justice system. Based on direct observation, I can tell you for a fact: in every case of violent crime, SOMEBODY OUT THERE KNEW. Spouse, parent, friend, lover, teacher, social worker…every single time, especially when they pretend they don’t.
