I had a friend who visited Dallas several years ago and walked around Elm St. where Kennedy was shot. He noticed a sewer located several feet from where the limousine was approaching. He told me it looked like a perfect place for a hidden shooter. That was 6 years ago. Five years later I stumbled on an article from a man (unnamed) who claimed to have fired the fatal head wound bullet from the opening of the sewer. He claimed he crawled out far enough away to escape. He said his pants were wet and muddy and he had to wipe them down in the bathroom before returning to (I leave this part out to avoid any scrutiny, as I know exactly nothing). A couple of months ago I saw a clip from the Zupruder film showing something that I had never seen (which must have been deleted after Zapruder turned it over to the Feds.) The limousine had stopped right where the sewer was. The driver was looking back at Kennedy and the car was slanted to the right with the front right wheel about three feet from the curb… right where the sewer was. I’m not saying he was involved at all! If I were driving and heard the shots I would have slowed down if I wanted to make sure the president and Mrs. Kennedy were ok. It would be very natural for his right arm to have drifted to the right as steered while trying to see what happened. (I imagine some onlookers were already screaming…God help them!). As for my thoughts on all of this, I have none to share…I don’t know what really happened and I know nothing about a possible sniper in the sewer. Yet 60 years later we know only one thing for sure…we will never know the whole story, and all the people, good or bad, are either deceased or very old. It happened and is forever emblazoned in our national consciousness. P.S. We were sent home by our teachers (as were almost all students in America) within a very short time after our president was pronounced dead. My mother was home crying, so I was sad. But my 9th birthday was the day before and I couldn’t wait to play with my Bop A Bear – which I turned on and aimed at with my toy rifle (of all things) aiming to shoot his butt, which caused him to turn around and go the other way! Wow! Ironically, that day became a date which marked a turning point for our nation…and to this day, our freefall is plummeting closer and closer to the bottom of the abyss – and most of us are utterly unaware! Perhaps you might think twice if you read chapter 18 of the book of Revelation. Our beloved America is now Babylon – the ancient city symbolic of every corruption and evil and sin known to man. I will end with a famous quote from the late Ruth Bell Graham, wife of the late great evangelist, Billy Graham. She spoke this word in 1969, and it rang out far and wide when I was 14 that year (until Nov.21). She said: “If God doesn’t judge America he will have to apologize to Sodom and Gomorrah!”

If JFK hadn’t been killed, this World would be a different place. RIP Jack and Jackie.
This event affected so many people around the world but heavily in the United States I can imagine on that fateful November day in 1963. My mother spoke about it once, of how sad that day was. To have been there, and witnessed that must have been unimaginable. I remember how much the sudden death of Princess Diana affected everyone at home. It was so hard to come to terms with.

I remember this happened when I was at school in the 1st grade. We were sent home. I remember my mother crying when I got there. Very tragic time in our nation. Kennedy was a great president and should set an example how our current politicians should act.

WELL, LET’S EE. IT was an immensely traumatic event, but dealing with that sort of situation professionally is the very definition of the responsibilities on a Secret Service agent occupying his position.

I am writing this from memory, without referring to any books on the assassination. It has long been thought that the pristine bullet either worked its way out of the president’s back when the doctors in the trauma room were trying to save the president’s life, or else it was placed on the stretcher by somebody (which led to theories that the bullet was planted in order to frame Oswald). My recollection is that witnesses said it was found on Kennedy’s stretcher and not Connally’s stretcher, which has always been one of the difficulties with the single bullet theory, the other being, of course, that a nearly pristine bullet could not have done all that damage to two bodies. One of the doctors at Parkland Hospital probed with his finger the wound in Kennedy’s back and found it to be only three inches deep, which suggests that the bullet struck him at a low velocity. If I recall correctly, this was a not uncommon defect with a Mannlicher Carcano rifle. Given the Secret Service agent’s account of where he found the bullet, this all makes sense. And it is consistent with the long standing criticism that Kennedy’s throat wound could not have been caused by the same bullet that entered his back because: (1) the throat wound was several inches higher than the back wound; (2) the president was sitting upright when he was struck in the throat as the Zapruder film clearly shows; and (3) the back wound was not a through wound. The conclusion is almost inescapable that the throat wound was caused by a bullet fired from the front. Its dimensions have never been described because it was obliterated by the tracheotomy, so it was never identified as an entrance wound or an exit wound. This leaves us with five bullets: one that missed the limousine altogether, one that struck Kennedy in the back, one that struck Kennedy in the throat, one that did all the damage to Connally, and one that hit Kennedy in the head. Some of the witnesses said they heard three shots, others said they heard four or five. Given the rapid sequence of the shots, the echoes in Dealey Plaza, and the differing locations of the witnesses, it is no wonder that accounts differ. In defense of the Secret Service agent, he was wise to protect the evidence without turning it over to the Dallas police. Granted, it would have been better if the bullet could have remained where it was found until the car was photographed as a crime scene, but it was not in his power to make that happen. His concern about souvenir hunters was not unreasonable

Dorothy Kilgallen. The reporter who was murdered bc she “knew too much.” She solved the case, and it wasn’t Oswald.

One thing I was surprised that wasn’t covered/mentioned usually by the pres, was something I saw in a JFK assassination documentary. Regarding the destruction of forensic evidence on the Presidential Limo. In the documentary I saw the interview/testimonial came straight from a Secret Service agent who was at the hospital that day. He said that after the Limo arrived at the hospital and they took JFK in to be treated. Within minutes of JFK being removed from the Limo. A few agents asked hospital staff for buckets of water and towels and immediately wiped down the entire interior of the Limo. He stated that he protested and told them to stop but they continued. Being told that it was being done for the sake of the media and press as to not take pictures of it to be publicized. That nobody wanted to see that mess. He said he knew it was destroying all evidence of blood, tissue and bone fragment splatter. Which could be used to determine how many shots and what direction they were fired from. I found that highly suspicious when I heard that. As all law enforcement are taught to preserve crime scene evidence and not to tamper, alter or destroy it.. Which the Limo was most certainly part of the crime scene.
Also, President Johnson had the limo sent to Detroit to get the windshield replaced, etc.

I wasn’t alive in 1963 but I’ve listened to that speech and JFK did more than just focus on peace as a topic. He actually said peace is “The most important topic on Earth.” “I have, therefore, chosen this time and place to discuss a topic on which ignorance too often abounds and the truth is too rarely perceived–yet it is the most important topic on earth: Peace.”
