Una persona murió y otra resultó herida martes en un tiroteo ocurrido en el campus de la Universidad Estatal de Kentucky (KSU) y el sospechoso fue puesto bajo custodia, indicaron las autoridades locales.

El Departamento de Policía de Frankfort informó que a alrededor de las 15:35 respondió a un agresor activo en el campus de KSU en Frankfort, en el estado de Kentucky, Estados Unidos.

La universidad fue cerrada hasta nuevo aviso, señaló la policía. Según informes, la policía permanece en el lugar de los hechos y ha acordonado la zona, según supo la agencia Noticias Argentinas, a través d Xinhua.

El portavoz de la universidad, Michael DeCourcy, confirmó que el estudiante fallecido y el herido son alumnos de la institución, y que este último se encontraba en estado crítico. Asimismo, añadió que el autor de los disparos no era estudiante de la universidad.
