Estados Unidos tendrá que ajustar su estrategia. Quizás optemos por contener a Irán, para que mueran de hambre lentamente en sus cuevas fortificadas. Eso se parecería mucho a un genocidio. Tendríamos que asumir las consecuencias. Tendremos que aprender a lidiar con los drones y misiles de Irán, igual que Rusia tiene que lidiar con los de Ucrania. No me cabe duda de que nuestros contratistas de defensa están preparados para la tarea si nuestros contribuyentes están dispuestos a pagarla, pero eso llevará años. Quizás despleguemos sofisticadas armas láser antidrones en lugar de los drones antidrones de baja tecnología que usa Ucrania. Su diseño costará un billón de dólares y su uso, unos céntimos por disparo. A eso le llamaremos económico.
