Que mejor forma de recordar la valentía puesta de manifiesto el día 28 de mayo de 1975 en lo que se llamó el Combate de Manchalá, que volver a escucha al Coronel ERNESTO LUCHINI ya fallecido, cuando FABIAN KUSSMAN lo entrevistara en Agosto de 2015. Este muy buen hombre con el que compartí tiempo y cárcel en Ezeiza,  fue quien se ocupó de levantar el primer monumento inaugurado en el año 1981.  Posteriormente, en el 2013 fue demolido por las viles autoridades del Concejo Deliberante de Salta. Este cuerpo  aprobó el proyecto del concejal MARTÍN AVILA, del Frente peronista Memoria y Movilización, para eliminar el monumento debido a que se lo consideraba una «reivindicación del terrorismo de Estado, del Plan Cóndor y el Operativo Independencia». Reconstruido en el año 2017, LUCHINI, no llegó a verlo, la muerte le había otorgado su libertad definitiva, 80 días antes. El tiempo y la historia siguen adelante y dirá la última palabra.

    Ernesto Luchini, realmente era una noble persona. Nunca olvidaré cuando en plena huelga de hambre se acercó a mi cama y me entregó un papel con el número de su DNI (77542–) ofreciéndose como testigo a lo que fuera en lo que yo estaba afrontando. Un gesto realmente excepcional en un ambiente donde priva el “sálvese quien pueda”. Mi mejor recuerdo para él y a los soldados que valientemente combatieron en Manchala. Cordialmente CLAUDIO KUSSMAN
