Back in the ’80s and ’90s, I was working for a federal audit agency at Northrop in Hawthorne, CA. One of my jobs was to review the descriptions of work done by consultants to Northrop, of which Chuck Yeager was one. I remember reading his compositions and really being impressed with the level of detail. Where some people would write very little, leaving you to wonder what they did (if anything), he would write in great detail.
