El presidente de Estados Unidos, Joe Biden, dirigió el jueves ataques aéreos militares en el este de Siria contra instalaciones pertenecientes a lo que el Pentágono dijo que eran milicias respaldadas por Irán, en una respuesta calibrada a los ataques con cohetes contra objetivos estadounidenses en Irak.

“El presidente Biden actuará para proteger al personal estadounidense y de la coalición. Al mismo tiempo, hemos actuado de una manera deliberada que tiene como objetivo reducir la situación general tanto en el este de Siria como en Irak ”.
