In the Book of Revelation in the Christian New Testament, the original document on which this article is partly based, the real “winner” of the war will be Christ on His Second Coming. At least as I remember the scriptures, He will appear in the clouds shortly before the great Battle of Armageddon, and after all the blood is shed and the dust is settled, the New Jerusalem will descend from the clouds and the Risen Lamb will rule in its center as sovereign over all the earth, for eternity afterwards. I may have some of the chronology of Revelation confused, however. It’s a confusing document, and has been inspiring Christian commentators to make wildly differing interpretations for hundreds of years. To answer without reference to Revelation, I think the only REAL winners of World War II will be the rats & the cockroaches. As students of Darwinian evolution realize, rats & cockroaches evolve much more quickly than human beings, because their reproductive cycle is so much faster. After a catastrophic nuclear and biological war, therefore, the cockroaches, the rats, and various other insect pests and disease organisms will mutate quicker and adapt better to the new radiation-rich environment much more quickly than human beings can. Some gifted science fiction writers have envisioned a post-nuclear-war Earth as being dominated by ant colonies, for example, once human beings have destroyed ourselves by being too clever at inventing new weapons and too slow at making peace.

China may have the largest army in the world, but it has no way to move it. They don’t have the airlift capability we do, nor do they have a blue water navy…yet anyway. Even if they did, in fact even if they could land on US soil, there are too many guns in our country for anyone to ever take it over completely. God bless the second amendment. Americans, love their freedom and hate being told what to do. Hell, that’s why we ran the British off in the American Revolution. Because they tried to tax us without representation. I think if any country ever tried to invade us, you’d have every gang-banger, redneck, or anyone else with a gun, out on the beaches shooting back at the enemy

Yo personalmente creo que EEUU tendria una clara ventaja, debido a que aunque el ejercito ruso a entrado en combate en los ultimos años/decadas, creo que la accion en combate del ejercito estadounidense es mas amplia y diversa, por lo que tanto su maquinaria como sus tropas, supuestamente tienen una mayor experiencia en combate real, tambien se supone que disponen de una tecnologia superior y lo que, yo creo que marcaria una mayor diferencia, la capacidad de despliegue.
En 2018 aumenta el gasto en armas en el mundo luego de la guerra fría. EEUU gastará casi 700.000 millones de dólares. China 175.000 millones de la misma moneda y Rusia tanto como 70.000 millones. “Todo sea por la paz”. Cordialmente CLAUDIO KUSSMAN
