    He is nothing like Trump.
    He is just strident.

the first South American country may just had woken to the future, cut his ties with social Marxism, and join the occident in development, giving a big, huge, great step for the region and allowing the region to be more competitive.

in Zimbabwe they dollarized to get out of hyperinflation crisis.
    ——————————————————————–
The Central Bank automatically became ineffective in printing money.
    ——————————————————————-
    Inflation stopped immediately.
    ——————————————————————-
Politicians however were the first to cry foul.
    ——————————————————————–
There was nothing or very little to steal.
    ——————————————————————-
They also got broke and then called for the return of the Zim dollar.
    ——————————————————————–
The economy then collapsed again when the Central Bank started printing money.
    ——————————————————————-
The greed of politicians is the problem.

this breaks my heart as there is a tremendous brain drain from Zimbabwe. Why be an engineer in Zim earning $10,000 a year, when you can make $100,000 in America

If you can find a job abroad for 100k$ there is 99% chance you have been educated abroad and if you have been educated abroad, you are probably coming from the top 1% of the society …and I am VERY conservative.

Xavier Milei is ‘n ekonomiese nerd.

he is really talking about economy, he is extremely conservative (you don’t spend what you don’t have) and also morals. He is a University economic professor who worked for international Banks and institutions. He is not crazy nor stupid; and also extremely humble. At the presidential debate (not what a politician would have done) he explained and responded every question, even the evil intended ones, because a professor that is what you ought to do. Now that he has won, he has referred at himself as a tenant (not an owner, nor a ruler, e tenant!).

Abundant natural resources, sophistication, education, class, impressive architecture, the finest beef in the world, abundant wildlife, thousands of miles of natural beaches, the arts, fine wines, el tango, delicious cuisine, beautiful women, a sizable military, sizable oil reserves, lithium, copper, gold, and so much more … why Argentina isn’t amongst the greatest nation states on the face of this Earth is utterly baffling to me. Godspeed ARGENTINA

Argentina’s decision to explore alternatives to its current economic partnerships is indeed an interesting move. It will be intriguing to see how this strategy plays out and what impact it has on their economy.

I envy Argentinians for their new president. I’ve been following Milei since 2015, and I can’t believe a libertarian made it to the Presidency. Wanted to point out that Milei has clarified that the support the “establishment” right (Macri & Bullrich) gave him DID NOT compromise his agenda, he’s described their support as “unconditional and patriotic”. I’m looking forward, anxiously, to what Milei will do with Argentina.
