Una mujer, a la que se le conoce desde ahora como la “Atenea desnuda”, apareció sin ropas (okay) en la madrugada del pasado sábado 18 de julio en las calles de Portland, Oregon, durante una noche de tensión entre las fuerzas del orden y manifestantes que protestan contra el racismo.

En Portland esas protestas han tenido lugar desde finales de mayo, cuando George Floyd murió a manos de policías en Minnesota, y aunque en parte han sido pacíficas también han presentado incidentes de vandalismo y represión policial.
Todo ello llegó a un grado tal que el gobierno federal envió agentes especiales, al parecer de los US Marshals y otras agrupaciones, con el propósito de proteger edificios federales (la corte federal en Portland ha sufrido asedio), pero también habrían realizado prácticas calificadas como intimidación y vulneración de los derechos civiles.
La mujer, de la que se desconoce su identidad, se plantó frente a esos agentes federales. Con calma y dejando atónitos a manifestantes y oficiales, se convirtió en el centro de atención en el lugar. Por momentos simplemente estuvo de pie frente a los agentes, señalándolos, y en algunas otras ocasiones realizó posturas de ballet y yoga para amplificar la exposición de su cuerpo desnudo.
En un momento los oficiales lanzaron gases pimienta frente a ella y otro manifestante se colocó con un escudo delante de la mujer desnuda en un afán de protegerla. Pero ella se apartó y volvió al protagonismo de la calle. Su “aparición” fue poderosa, pacífica e impactante (Al menos para los masculinos presentes, claro)

Trumps not leading the way but he will try to claim it was because of him. We must put the heroes that are on the frontline out there with their names so he doesn’t lay claim to them.
