En una carta dirigida este viernes a la Cancillería israelí, el Gobierno de Nicaragua expresa su intención de presentar una demanda contra Israel ante la Corte Internacional de Justicia de la ONU si no detiene los ataques en la Franja de Gaza.
En la carta, expedida por el Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores del país centroamericano, se insta a Israel a “poner fin a sus acciones contra el pueblo palestino” y a detener sus operaciones militares en Gaza.
En caso de que Israel no cumpla con la exigencia, Nicaragua advierte que “tomará todas las medidas que considere apropiadas”, incluido el recurso ante la Corte Internacional de Justicia para garantizar el respeto a sus intereses protegidos por la convención de 1948 sobre el genocidio.
Nicaragua sostiene que, desde octubre, el país hebreo “decidió imponer un asedio total” a la Franja de Gaza, que “ya se encontraba bajo un asfixiante bloqueo militar de 16 años”.
Asimismo, la carta recuerda que las operaciones militares de Israel “han sido y está siendo ejecutadas con bombardeos masivos contra la población civil”, incluidos refugios, hospitales, lugares religiosos y escuelas, provocando la muerte de más de 24.000 personas y el desplazamiento forzado de cerca del 85 % de los palestinos.
Managua afirma que las acciones de las fuerzas israelíes también han venido acompañadas por declaraciones de varios funcionarios hebreos que podrían indicar “evidencia de intención genocida”.

Daniel Ortega cannot be more hypocrite. If people are dying because they are protesting, I blame the corrupt government and Ortega. In communism they don’t allow citizens to go again s the government. You can’t have an opinion. It’s a horrible way to live.
