El operador de redes de energía en Rusia Rosseti ha recibido el primer lote de exoesqueletos industriales, desarrollados por el consorcio estatal Rostec, el mayor contratista de defensa del país.

Estos dispositivos serán sometidos a prueba en trabajos de puesta a tierra de tendidos eléctricos, en las labores de limpieza de vegetación en zonas forestales y en el transporte de materiales y herramientas pesados, según un comunicado de Rostec.
Los exoesqueletos permiten a las personas llevar cargas pesadas sin sentir su peso o realizar manipulaciones físicamente imposibles para las personas. Por tanto, pueden resultar especialmente útiles en aplicaciones industriales.
El equipo está diseñado para proteger la salud de los empleados durante un esfuerzo físico intenso, así como para trabajar con equipos voluminosos o en un espacio confinado, señala la empresa.
Este equipamiento no restringe la libertad de movimientos y puede utilizarse con ropa de trabajo estándar. El exoesqueleto reduce la carga sobre el sistema muscular y esquelético a la mitad, por lo que disminuye el riesgo de lesionarse. Desde la empresa señalaron que algunos de los elementos del equipo están impresos en 3D. En septiembre del año pasado, la compañía anunció la creación de los exoesqueletos industriales ProEXO que disponen de un esquema modular con 30 elementos. La estructura permite variar el dispositivo, dependiendo de los requisitos del cliente.
