Ucrania necesita unos 3.000 millones de dólares al mes de asistencia financiera extranjera para mantener el sistema financiero nacional a lo largo de este año, declaró el ministro de Finanzas de Ucrania, Serguéi Márchenko durante una reunión en línea celebrada este miércoles con los ministros de finanzas y jefes de los bancos centrales de los países miembros del G7, la dirección del FMI, del Banco Mundial, de la Comisión Europea y de la Organización para la Cooperación y el Desarrollo Económicos (OCDE).
Durante su intervención, Márchenko destacó el papel clave del apoyo del bloque G7 para asegurar el “equilibrio del presupuesto estatal de Ucrania y la recuperación económica en 2023”. En este sentido, indicó que la ayuda financiera prestada por el G7 y la Unión Europea a Ucrania “ha alcanzado alrededor de los 63.000 millones de dólares a partir de febrero de 2022”, reza un comunicado del Ministerio de Finanzas de Ucrania.
El ministro ucraniano resaltó la importancia de seguir recibiendo “apoyo constante de los socios internacionales” lo que, según dijo, junto con “la política equilibrada del Gobierno de Ucrania”, permitió que durante el año pasado “el sistema financiero de Ucrania se mantuviera estable y la economía se recuperase más rápidamente de lo esperado”.
“En 2024, la necesidad mensual de financiación externa alcanzará unos 3.000 millones de dólares estadounidenses. Una mayor asistencia presupuestaria rítmica es vital para garantizar los gastos sociales. No podemos permitir ningún retraso en la atracción de financiación externa”, señaló el ministro.
Por su parte, los países del G7 y las organizaciones financieras internacionales se comprometieron a seguir prestando asistencia financiera a Kiev. En la reunión también se discutió la posibilidad de la confiscación de activos rusos congelados para “atraer a Ucrania recursos adicionales” y hacer que Rusia sienta que “no quedará impune”, indicaron desde el Ministerio ucraniano.
