La llamada Tregua de Navidad de 1914 se produjo sólo cinco meses después del estallido de la guerra en Europa y fue uno de los últimos ejemplos de la noción anticuada de la caballería entre enemigos en la guerra. En 1915, el sangriento conflicto de la Primera Guerra Mundial estalló con toda su furia tecnológica, y el concepto de otra tregua navideña se volvió impensable.

La primera guerra mundial fue una guerra sin sentido, pero sabiendo lo que paso en la segunda, la primera podria haber evitado mucha muerte, y no fue asi
definitely. German leaders didn’t have much of a beef though with the other empires. Especially Britain and Russia. Kaiser Wilhelm II was cousins with the tsar of Russia and the King of Britain. He even tried to prevent the outbreak of WW1 because he knew it would destroy Europe.
Well i dont know where you get that from. The Australian troops hate of the germans was pathological. Most times they were loath of taking prisoners at all. In 1917 after taking the german pillboxes they methodically bayoneted the lot. In one action an australian division bayoneted 2,000 prussians as a payback. You can’t fight a war such as world war 1 and not hate the other lot. Get real

Well i dont know where you get that from. The Australian troops hate of the germans was pathological. Most times they were loath of taking prisoners at all. In 1917 after taking the german pillboxes they methodically bayoneted the lot. In one action an australian division bayoneted 2,000 prussians as a payback. You can’t fight a war such as world war 1 and not hate the other lot. Get real

@ChrisParsons Maybe not beetwen german, british, russians and french. But as the other dudes said the australian, french-canadian and belgian troops really hated the germans and were especially ferocious towards them. Also the serbs and Austro-hungarians hated eachother that’s what started the war in the first place. So yes mabye there was some hate and there was not.
