In 2005 I saw a flying saucers there …me and 2 or 3 more people. that area is no joke

  1. Weird things happens there. Before the pandemic, I met this two guys at Dexter’s and we agreed to go to a motel for some fun-time when we got to the Volusia County-Seminole county border at I4, the car just simply broke down . One of the guys got really sick like an asthma attack or something and the other started to vomiting. I had to go behind some threes cuzz I had a bad diarrhea problem. I called my husband and he picked me up while the guys had to wait for the road assistant. Really bad experience. I had a headache for hours.

    1. How romantic!!!

They dumped fill dirt on top to elevate the highway, you could be standing on them. I’ve driven that stretch many times as a lifelong Florida resident, and my father’s family told this story. I-4 is a dangerous stretch because of the way it’s constructed, and battles were waged there and early settlers and Native Americans also died of fever, malaria was certainly common, take a look at the Floridian mosquito -borne illnesses. I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s haunted. As someone famous once said, if all the all the corpses around here were to stand up at once, we’d have one hell of a population problem.

I believe Hurricane Donna (1960) and Hurricane Charley (2004) also have some involvement. When the bodies were covered in 1960 was exactly when Hurricane Donna struck and turned suddenly back towards the east right over the highway. Hurricane Charley struck in 2004 and turned exactly the same spot Donna did over the highway and even more strangely there was construction going on at the highway too.

I just moved to Florida and in two months I’ve seen more accidents than the ten years I spent in Milwaukee. Drivers don’t pay attention, they’re intoxicated and old people don’t want to admit when they’re too old to drive. That’s my take.

  2. Me and my girlfriends decided to do naked driving two months ago, with the strong August Florida sun beaming down on my bare bum and bare shoulders. Boys were crazy looking three naked girls on the road. I thought, ‘Damn, this feels good!’ We had tossed the clothes on the back seat and drove all afternoon through the endless jack pines with sun-deprived nipples basking in warm, northern summer air. LOL. I didn’t cause any accidents; it felt freeing. Around 9PM we needed to pee and we stop under the bridge. No a single soul there (Or we though so) We took care of business and went back to the car. No clothes, no keys, nothing there. We found our cell under one seat and we called Nelly’s dad. He came there in about 30 minutes and we are completely naked. That was embarrassing! Nelly’s dad was supercool anyways… but he told us about the dead zone and what happens there. Spooky and lesson learned: Don’t get naked close to haunted places…

My husband grew up in North Deltona and most of his family still lives in that area. One of his nieces had a friend who was killed in an accident right there on that bridge about 10 years ago! She was still in her 20s. So very tragic. It’s a shame there is so much noise there, hindering a spirit box investigation. If you ever go back, perhaps you could use a rem pod, emf meter or some other tools for communicating that doesn’t involve hearing the spirit. Maybe take photos & see if you see anything paranormal in them. I enjoyed the video & so glad to see someone do a story on the I4 dead zone.

strange things are a foot at the circle k

  3. I have a great one: Back in the early 1980″s, I was 18 and my friend Charlie was 21. It was a typical Friday night. We would go out cruising around in my 1981, red Buick Riviera with the Landau roof. It was a badazz ride for a teenager, in those days. We didn’t have cell phones back then, nor a care in the world. We just went out every night, cruising, partying, picking up chicks and listening to “good” music. On this night, we were a lil inebriated, I’ll admit. It was probably 1 or 2 AM in the morning, not a soul around (or so we thought). We were just about to drive under the I-4 overpass right where you were. I thought, hey, this is a good place to pull over and take a leak. We came to a stop right under the overpass. We got out, did our business and got back in the car. Mind you, we had been out all night driving and my car was hot, so hot that it didn’t want to start back up. It may have been low on oil, or the mass air flow sensor was bad or both. In any event, when I tried to start it, something caught on fire under the hood. I opened the hood and poured some beer and or Jack Daniels on it, to the exterminate the fire. I though OMG, we are so screwed. We had no cell phones, no CB radio. That Shell or Circle K wasn’t there at that time. I don’t think there was a pay phone around for miles. It’s late, it was foggy, it’s hot, the humidity was 98%, the mosquito’s all over us, I was wearing boots and we’re far from home (we lived in Zellwood). I thought, for sure, we’d end up dead or in jail. About 10-15 minutes went by and out of the fog appears some headlights. It was a beat up old Chevy pick-up truck, driven by some old man with a scruffy beard and overalls on. He pulls over and asked (not axed) us if we were alright. I didn’t know if this guy was a killer or what. He offered us a ride. I said we lived pretty far and asked him if he could just get us to a pay phone and we’d make arrangements. We finally packed into his truck and took off down the road. When we saw the first sign of civilization, we told the old man, that he could let us out, but he insisted on giving us a ride all the way home. When we got home, we offered him gas money and then some, but the old man refused. Back then, we had never heard about the graves in that area and I am not really superstitious. But I do believe, a prayer was answered that night. I am pretty sure, that the old man is probably resting in peace by now. I wish, I could have done something for him, to show my appreciation for his kindness. Perhaps sharing this story will mean something to someone. Since then, I try not disturb those who have passed, nor judge someone on how they look. You just never know.
