LIMPIOS DE MANOS Y PUROS DE CORAZÓN

Está la historia que narra acerca de que, a la edad 27 años, el destacado político, inventor y científico BENJAMÍN FRANKLIN, decide trazarse objetivos alcanzables para su vida y, cada vez que fallaba en alguno de sus propósitos, colocaba un punto negro al lado de la que formaba parte de las doce  virtudes que anhelaba adquirir.  Y así mantuvo un listado en el que podía tener en claro su progreso en el desarrollo de cada virtud. Con el tiempo alcanzó su meta final, que no era otra cosa que no tener ningún  punto  en el cuadro… Este método impulsó el éxito de FRANKLIN como inventor, estadista, diplomático y otros aspectos de su vida.

¿Y cuáles son nuestras metas? ¿Hemos procurado que nuestra vida espiritual fluya hacia un propósito determinado? ¿Nos hemos esforzado por alcanzar nuestra paz interior y así llenar  nuestro corazón de felicidad y júbilo? ¿Hemos engrandecido nuestras virtudes para lograr transformar esos ambientes obscuros  en  lugares  donde  poder brillar? ¿Hemos dejado de lado nuestras  actitudes y pasiones mundanas para  buscar  una  nueva  vida, priorizando el Espíritu?

Todo lo expuesto es correcto y debe  ser hecho con convencimiento. Pero, ¿cuántas fueron las veces en que, después de un día de trabajo, en oración pedimos que nuestro corazón esté lo más  puro  posible y que nuestra conciencia espiritual nada tenga de que avergonzarnos?…Que cada día sea bendecido, que estemos libres del mal y que  nos  guardemos de las celadas del enemigo… Que nuestro listado de virtudes no tenga puntos oscuros y que los objetivos trazados en la vida sean claros y realizables; y, si existiese alguno difícil, pidamos ayuda a Dios para que podamos realizarlo rápidamente.
