I would change the transmission to a dual clutch with paddle shifters, supercharge it, bigger brakes and a bigger better back tire.

Ask any Slingshot owner… Poor build quality is the norm for these things… Not only are they built to travel trailer standards and accelerate like travel trailers.. Long term reliability is terrible.. Its worth $10,000 max for the top tier model. $30,000-$35000 is a joke..

just get a miata, lower price (esp if you add needed options), more practical, lower insurance, and way more reliable

Specialized motorcycles (dirt bikes, snowmobiles, jet skis) have been very successful because they have a purpose. The Slingshot doesn’t have a real purpose beyond announcing “look at me” to other travelers. By far my favorite part of motorcycles is shifting. Take that away and it is half the fun.
