La ONU para el Turismo informa que, durante la última década, el país ha invertido 2.200 millones de dólares en el desarrollo de infraestructura turística. En cuanto a la inversión extranjera directa (IED), los inversores internacionales han invertido aproximadamente 3.500 millones de dólares en diversos sectores en los últimos cinco años.
Todo esto impulsa la economía, que el Banco Mundial describe como resiliente. Se prevé que este año el crecimiento del PIB alcance el 4,4 %.
Pocos países africanos cuentan con líderes empresariales en la lista Forbes. En 2025, Marruecos contará con tres: Anas Sefrioui, Aziz Akhannouch y Othman Benjelloun, cuya riqueza combinada asciende a casi 5.000 millones de dólares.
