Un grupo de musulmanes lanzó ataques este miércoles contra la comunidad cristiana en el este de Pakistán, destruyendo varias iglesias e incendiando decenas de casas, tras acusar a sus miembros de profanar el Corán.
Según las autoridades, dos miembros de la comunidad cristiana fueron acusados de blasfemia, después de que, supuestamente, encontraran páginas del libro sagrado del islam escritas con comentarios despectivos.
Cabe recordar que la blasfemia se castiga con la muerte en Pakistán y, aunque nadie ha sido condenado por este acto, muchos acusados han sido linchados por creyentes indignadas.
