Consta en la biografía de varios santos dedicados al ministerio de la confesión, que Dios les regaló el don de la clarividencia, por ejemplo, a San Juan Bosco y al santo Cura de Ars. Por medio de este carisma ayudaban a los penitentes a clarificar y ordenar su conciencia para recibir con fruto el sacramento del perdón. Aquí tienes una curiosa anécdota del Padre Pío.
En la primavera de 1967, en el tren del trayecto Nápoles-Foggia, se encontraron dos madres con sus respectivas hijas que iban a ver al padre Pío para confesarse. Las dos chicas se hicieron rápidamente amigas. María Teresa, que ya había estado con el fraile, viendo a la otra en minifalda, le aconsejó que cambiara de ropa al llegar a San Giovanni Rotondo, porque si no el santo fraile la haría alejarse del confesionario. Las dos chicas fueron a una tienda, y la napolitana compró una falda larga. Pero, mirándose al espejo, dijo: “¡Si me viese mi novio, pensaría que soy un payaso!”. Al otro día, la chica de Nápoles, que estaba esperando, vio que se abría la ventanilla y oyó que le decían: “Fuera, ¡vete! Yo no confieso a los payasos”.
Con el padre Pío, los trucos no funcionaban. Ella pensaba que así conformaría al santo, pero por otro lado continuaría cediendo para agradar a su novio. A Dios no le agradan los engaños. Por eso iluminó al santo fraile.
Un refrán popular dice: “No está bien encender una vela a Dios y otra al diablo”. Dios quiere corazones enteros y no partidos.
