PETA operates one small shelter, and thank God they do. It’s a shelter of last resort for animals who need euthanasia to end their suffering (many of whom have been rejected by other facilities because euthanizing them would make their “statistics” look unappealing). This includes dogs who are aggressive and unadoptable because they have been kept chained their entire lives; feral cats dying of contagious diseases; animals who are wracked with cancer; elderly animals who have no quality of life and whose desperate guardians brought them to PETA because they can’t afford to pay a vet to euthanize them; and the list goes on. A painless end is a kindness for these animals, and the services PETA provides are vitally needed in an area where many people can’t afford to take their animals to a veterinarian.
peta advocates and actively lobbies for the destruction of all pit bull type breeds in shelters. peta has actively campaigned for the destruction of all community and feral cat colonies. Past peta employees have stated in sworn affidavits that healthy kittens and puppies are euthanized regularly at their facility. peta employees lured a family pet away from its porch, and murdered it within minutes in one of their roving death vans. Every shelter has a 24 hour emergency line, since they are all under the jurisdiction of the police department. Stop defending the massive killing they do.
@GraceJones There are actually quite a few open admissions shelters in the United States that are open admissions and have very low euthanasia rates.
Reaching the point where you do not have to euthanize does take innovative programs and a lot of hard work, however it is quite possible.
What you failed to disclose is that PETA does not believe in animals as companions and therefore prefer euthanasia over placement.
I suggest that you look into some of the many shelters that also are required to take in any and every animal that comes to them and can successfully place the majority of those animals into loving homes prior to your next article on animal welfare.
The real scandal is the growing number of “no kill” shelters that are turning needy animals away in order to make their “saved” stats look better. It’s unconscionable.

Not true, in fact “no kill” refers to shelters that have a 90%+ live release rate. Many of them are large, open admission shelters that made great strides in their save rates through hard work–free spay and neuter, trap-neter-return programs for feral cats, and aggressive foster programs and adoption promotions. Any shelter can do it with commitment and effort; the support is out there and a shelter’s refusal reflects poorly on its concern for the animals.
My first encounter with Peta was in early 1990’s. My friend family owned 4 horses. One day Peta came to their farm and broke the fence to let the horses run free. One horse got hit by a car and another one fell in a hole and broke its leg.
I get paid more than $120 to $130 per hour for working online. I heard about this job 3 months ago and after joining this i have earned easily $15k from this without having online working skills.

Wow, listen to all you people, drinking whatever poisonous concoction The Witch of Norfolk has brewed up. Open your eyes.
Peta was sued for stealing dogs off peoples porches and euthanizing them.

Son medio terroristas estos
According to a media investigation, in 2019, of 2,421 dogs and cats received at PETA’s Norfolk shelter, 1,578 were euthanized…
PeTA has never been about loving animals, it’s always been about hating people.
