驴Crees que tu ciudad natal es un lugar tranquilo? No tiene nada en este lugar. Monowi, Nebraska, es la ciudad m谩s peque帽a de los EE. UU. y la vida aqu铆 es un poco extra帽a. Es intrigante saber c贸mo es vivir en una ciudad donde usted es el 煤nico residente.

Monowi, Nebraska es la ciudad incorporada m谩s peque帽a de Estados Unidos. Tiene una poblaci贸n de una sola persona.

Esta peculiar ciudad se estableci贸 en 1902 y alcanz贸 su punto m谩ximo de poblaci贸n durante la d茅cada de 1930, cuando albergaba a unos 150 residentes. Con el paso de los a帽os, los j贸venes se mudaron a ciudades m谩s grandes y los residentes mayores murieron.

Para el a帽o 2000, Monowi era el hogar de una sola pareja casada, Rudy y Elsie Eiler. Rudy muri贸 en 2004, convirtiendo a Elsie Eiler en la 煤nica residente de Monowi.

Elsie Eiler act煤a como alcalde y opera el 煤nico negocio de la ciudad, la taberna Monowi. Ella se otorga una licencia de licor y paga impuestos a s铆 misma. La ciudad tambi茅n alberga la Biblioteca Rudy de 5000 vol煤menes, fundada por Elsie en memoria de su difunto esposo.

La ciudad tiene cuatro farolas y Eiler debe crear un plan vial municipal cada a帽o.

No est谩 claro qu茅 pasar谩 con Monowi cuando Eiler muera. Por ahora, el pueblito es una curiosidad que vale la pena visitar.

    Went through Nebraska many years ago it seemed spiritual kind of eire. It makes a person realize how quick life goes ! It’s a reminder that we as humans should be more kind to one another. Life is hard be it bill gates or a homeless person, its still difficult !
