Robert F. Kennedy Jr., sobrino del exmandatario estadounidense John F. Kennedy, presentó documentos para postularse en las elecciones presidenciales de EE.UU. en 2024 por el Partido Demócrata.

La información fue confirmada por el tesorero de su campaña electoral, John Sullivan.

A principios de marzo, Kennedy, abogado y activista ambiental conocido por ser un crítico de las vacunas anticovid, afirmó que estaba considerando desafiar al actual mandatario, Joe Biden, por la nominación demócrata. 

Biden no ha lanzado formalmente una campaña para los próximos comicios, pero ha declarado en numerosas ocasiones que tiene intención de volver a postularse para continuar en el mando.

  • John F. Kennedy fue asesinado en 1963 cuando era jefe de Estado. Lo mismo sucedió con su hermano Robert F. Kennedy en 1968, durante su campaña para ser candidato a la presidencia.
