El problema del estiércol de caballo de 1894
Share

Siempre me cabe Giordano Bruno.

We must understand that this inquisition is not over. Of course it has changed, but it is not over. I was born in Montreal, Quebec Canada. I am a French Canadian who moved to the US at 25 years old. At the time of my birth in a hospital in Montreal my parents were forced to have me baptized in the hospital chapel prior to taking me home in order to receive a “baptismal certificate” as proof of my birth. The Catholic Church ruled over government. Most of my life, the schools are run by the church, the teachers were nuns & priests, this was public school. We had mass every single morning, we had to do confession to a priest, once a week during school. We were not allowed to have Bibles. That was a sin. I could go on and on. I received my first “government issued“ from the province of Quebec my first official birth certificate at the age of 40, once I had moved to the states. I have both documents, the proof of my birth, for 40 years, my baptismal certificate, and my birth certificate issued by the province. If you’re interested to find out how this affected everyone deeply. The fear we lift with of the nuns and priests and churches, but most importantly, the only important matter is that they made us fear God. There is a healthy, biblical fear of God, of course. That is not what I am talking about. Long story short, I never set foot in a Catholic Church ever cents. I graduated high school. During high school I didn’t need to go to church church was school.
Fast forward many years, and I need to lift up my grandfather, who was an American, married my grandmother when she was a widow at 30 years old, and she moved to the US. My grandfather is the one who purchased my first Bible for me. I had the fear of God in me, I was indoctrinated opening and touching and looking at a Bible was a sin. It took many years. I must say, though, that I always believed in God, I always believed in Jesus Christ. Supernatural mystery of God. It Hass to be. Anyhow, I am a Christian now, and I do not fear the church anymore. But oh what I would give to get back the wasted years of living in the world, having only a very very private relationship with God. No one knew but me. And now I am blessed with a son-in-law, under 30 years old who is a pastor. He and two other young men started a Church which I attend and I now have a Family that is huge. So many people at home in Quebec have never forgotten what happened in school and they never trusted any churches whatsoever… that is a crime. As for me, I am free to love my God, and I am truly blessed for my only child, to have also believed in God. I am doubly blessed that she met a young man in high school, who became a pastor, and they have blessed me with four wonderful grandbabies under the age of six as I write this. I can’t myself one of the extremely lucky and blessed ones. I still have my private and personal relationship with God but more importantly, I do not need to keep it private any longer, that is not the way God wants us to live.

I thought I knew a lot about the Inquisition. I realise my knowledge was scant.

I would be terrified knowing that later in the day I was literally gonna be murdered/set on fire or beaten to death or something like that… Nothing I can do about it… Over a misunderstanding or just something completely ridiculous… This is so horrible… I feel like there are some forms of Christianity if given enough power would bring some of this stuff back… Not all of that of course but would bring back some kind of domineering theocracy

Because of the inquisitions, plural , the files should by international law be brought before the world because we do not know of any processes that the church has put in place to prevent these mind boggling autocities from happening again.
