Frente a los numerosos desafíos que nuestros países han experimentado el año pasado, continuamos fortaleciendo nuestra cooperación en áreas críticas como la salud, la prosperidad económica, el apoyo a la democracia y la seguridad. Estados Unidos ha redoblado nuestros esfuerzos para apoyar la respuesta de Paraguay a la pandemia mundial de COVID-19 al proporcionar camas en unidades de cuidados intensivos, medicamentos que salvan vidas, oxígeno, equipo y apoyo para análisis de laboratorio. Continuaremos apoyando a Paraguay mientras nuestros dos países trabajan juntos para poner fin a esta crisis de salud mundial. Nuestra asociación seguirá desempeñando un papel vital en el avance de nuestros objetivos compartidos de paz, prosperidad y seguridad en toda la región.
Al celebrar esta ocasión trascendental junto al pueblo paraguayo, estamos orgullosos de la larga historia de amistad entre nuestros pueblos, desde el establecimiento de relaciones diplomáticas en 1861 hasta nuestra sólida cooperación actual. Que este espíritu de asociación y valores democráticos compartidos sigan profundizando nuestra relación histórica.
