El magnate y empresario Elon Musk elogió el discurso que el presidente de Argentina, Javier Milei, ofreció en el marco del Foro Económico Mundial, en Davos (Suiza), y que se caracterizó por su tono antifeminista y negacionista del cambio climático.
“Buena explicación de lo que hace que los países sean más o menos prósperos”, escribió Musk en la plataforma X, de la que es dueño.
Ese comentario fue respondio por el mandatario argentino: “¡Muchas gracias!”.
En su polémica alocución, Milei dijo que “Occidente está en peligro” porque aquellos que “supuestamente deben defender sus valores se encuentran cooptados por una visión del mundo que inexorablemente conduce al socialismo y, en consecuencia, a la pobreza”. Asimismo, el mandatario ofreció polémicos datos “económicos”, que fueron motivo de burlas y críticas en su país.

Argentina is the largest debtor to the IMF at $44 Billion USD, yet that is 1/6th of Musk’s net worth. Argentina has huge Lithium deposits in Northwest Argentina that would of great interest to TESLA. Yeah, they need to do more than just talk.
Musk found Milei’s speech to be a good explanation of what makes countries more or less prosperous. In addition to his praise, Musk also posted a meme on his social media account, X, indicating that Milei’s speech was stimulating.
What he says makes sense. But it’ll be what he does that is important. Like most politicians (look at the USA political) they promise things and rarely deliver on them. Or in this case could end up some kind of tyrant or dictator using these statements loosely and applying them to only the people he favors.
Milton Freeman and his “Chicago boys” were strong proponents of free market economics, many say he is the architect of the mess we have now with CEO pay vastly outpacing every day worker’s pay and corporations raid and plunder for profit with impunity. So yeah, people who are already rich and powerful tend to think he’s pretty cool.
Any President is better than another Kirchner’s puppet. It sounds like the Argentinian people got it right this time ! Hopefully the American people will follow suit in the next election !

Milton Friedman’s economies are about wealth transference. They do exactly what they are intended to do, exactly what the Laffer Curve shows. They transfer wealth from those with little to, those with much. There is ackristian movement afoot today to normalize bullying. To make “might makes right” de rigeur. One can value both equality and freedom. Guess who invented the notion that freedom and equality are mutually exclusive. Bullies did. People who want the freedom to treat others tortiously without facing consequences will always snivel about not being allowed to.
Capitalism is the collective endorsement of free enterprise, free will, and meritocracy. Socialism is a lie. There’s no utopia in communism nor Socialism just misery!!
