There are Muslims here of all colors and from every part of this earth. During the past days here in Mecca (Jeddah, Mina, and Mustaliph) while understanding the rituals of the Hajj, I have eaten. From the same plate, drank from the same glass and slept on the same bed or rug – with Kings, potentates and other forms of rulers – ***** with fellow Muslims whose skin was the whitest of white, whose eyes was the bluest of blue, and whose hair was the blondest of blond – I could look into their blue eyes and see that they regarded me as the same (Brothers), because their faith in One God (Allah) had actually removed “white” from their mind, which automatically changed their attitude and their behavior (towards) people of other colors. Their beliefs in the Oneness as made them so different from American whites that their colors played no part in my mind in my dealing with them

Looking the time he was living and how black were treated who can blame him for ever having had such beliefs. Although he changed after mecca visit, some times people push you to choose a way, because the time you are living says alot of what & who you are. It is like saying why do most people in America don’t love the police & justice system we have, while watching almost every day how they treat them.

My granny (white) had the opportunity to meet Malcolm X when he came in to the convenience store where she worked to buy something. This was just before the riots and the burning of D.C. in the 60’s. She said he was very polite and was very nice to her.

Malcolm was ignorant about a lot until his later years, and once he figured out the real problem behind the suffering of African Americans, he got assassinated. I think at that time he figured out that Slavery was not a white people thing. probably figured out that most of the whites didn’t own slaves and an overwhelming majority of slave traders were not white Europeans.

My folks got married in 1959. I think of my parents and how they were treated during this awful time. I also think of all the issues I’ve dealt with in my life and how Malcolm made it his life’s mission to better the lives of all people during and after his short life.

Not only did Malcolm X speak it, but God has also been telling black folks, his people that we are a stiff neck people who are hardheaded and disobedient as well. So maybe now more black folks will wake up and smell the coffee because it’s perking loud and clear.
