Today in Hungary we experienced this. For more than 8 hours the phone network and the internet service was switched off. Nothing was changed, but it was weird.
Imagine if in the future lets say 50-100 years in the future we become so reliant on the internet (much more then even now) that its integrated into our society on every level, food, transportation, medical, law, military, climate control, everything and then it suddenly breaks forever. It would truly be a doomsday scenario and could be the downfall of humanity. Something we might never be able to recover from. If such a thing happened today i think we would still be able to recover from it (after a massive crises that would last decades that is).

I was born in 1975, 80’s kid, 90’s teenager, software programmer and tech support trainer… AND the best times of my life did not involve INTERNET!… so when the internet apocalypse comes, my generation would be JUST FINE!
I guess I would be back playing video games, watching dvds and vhs, speedcubing and solving puzzles like did when I was 3 to 17 years old. As an introvert, I would be just fine.
But of course because of the internet I developped an addiction for YouTube, online games, and Messenger to keep contact with my closest friends. Oh, and also por…nevermind, forget it.

Wouldn’t mind if this happened in real life. I really think it would make the world a better place.
To be honest it’s just sad.We were meant to be entertained and connect to the world but now we’re dependent on it as if it were to shut down, who would we be as people.

guau
What if we run out of water????
I’d spend the first 24 hours wondering why the internet wasn’t working.
Today in Hungary we experienced this. For more than 8 hours the phone network and the internet service was switched off. Nothing was changed, but it was weird.
What if the electricity on earth shuts off completely?
What if all the vehicles we use in transportation suddenly stops working?

i hope someday there will come a time when people actually have social interaction in person. right now zombies rule the world.
We live in another world now
When the internet is slow I will actually go outside and breath fresh air and plant more trees cause trees = more air and shade
Yo se que es dificil admitirlo porque somos todos intelectuales y superados, pero cuando se corta sin internet por 10 minutos y puteamos de lo lindo.

Without the internet, the world would kinda look like we lived in the 1950’s, but with modern technology
Or not that modern technology
To be honest it’s just sad.We were meant to be entertained and connect to the world but now we’re dependent on it as if it were to shut down, who would we be as people.
If the internet: shuts down… All online gamers will play with real guns and blocks
And going to the bathroom like any normal person
Or use some thinking for a while
