El presidente de Argentina, Javier Milei, ganó el Premio Génesis 2025, conocido como el ‘Nobel Judío’, por su “inequívoco apoyo a Israel”, anunció este martes la fundación a cargo del galardón.

Los jueces del comité, que eligieron al mandatario por unanimidad, “lo elogiaron por su inequívoco apoyo a Israel durante uno de los momentos más difíciles desde la fundación del Estado judío”, al tiempo que destacaron los “logros económicos de la Administración de Milei que estabilizaron la economía argentina en 2024”.

“Es un verdadero héroe del pueblo judío. A diferencia de los líderes de muchos otros países del mundo que se mantuvieron callados, presionaron y, en algunos casos, sancionaron a Israel, el presidente Milei ha apoyado inequívocamente al pueblo judío y a su Estado”, afirmó el titular de la fundación, Stan Polovets.

Igualmente, el comité alabó “el compromiso de Milei con los valores occidentales, la democracia y la libertad en todo el mundo”, incluido su respaldo al ucraniano Vladímir Zelenski.

Milei, el primer jefe de Estado en ganar el ‘Premio Nobel Judío’, se mostró “profundamente honrado” por recibir el galardón y anunció que la bonificación monetaria la donará a “causas que apoyen la libertad y la lucha contra el antisemitismo” en el mundo.

“Siento una profunda admiración por Israel, su historia y su gente. El pueblo judío ha demostrado a lo largo de su historia que la resiliencia y la defensa de la libertad son esenciales para superar cualquier desafío. Este espíritu es una piedra angular de la relación entre Argentina e Israel, y trabajaré para fortalecer aún más nuestros vínculos”, dijo.
